We're a family of four but I take care of two other girls often enough that I need to be able to seat four kids and myself COMFORTABLY in a car... I would prefer a van or SUV, or the "right" crossover is fine. While gas mileage will be a consideration it is really important that ontop of seating I have some room for a stroller, diaper bag(s), etc. Obviously safety is of huge importance, and I would prefer it have side curtain airbags among its safety features... Thanks!

  1. There are many dilemas in your question.

Where do you live? As for model availability.

What ammount are you ready/able to spend?

You are looking for new or used - my pick would be a new one. Side airbags shouldn't be an issue if you are byuing new (however might be on the list of extras you have to pay extra cash for).

If i was you here's what i'd do.

    1. Make decision how much i am willing to spend. And stay on it.

    2. Look for list of 7-seaters then cross those who are out of my budget. Well actually i'd leave 10% margin to add more extra options.

    3. Then would browse model brochures to check gas consumption and how big the trunk is.

    4. Then would check the overal dimensions to be compatible with places i'd often park my vehicle.

    5. When i'll shrink the list to 2-3 candidates, i'd visit the nearest point(s) where i can get a test-drive.

    6. If there still in doubt after all this, let your hearth pick the one you like more.

Hope it was helpful, if still not sure from where to begin, my pick would be Mazda CX-7 ;)
