  1. For 16 years the Dow didn't move. Historically, the Dow has gained 1,8% a year since his introduction in 1895 adjusted for inflation.


  2. You mean which stocks had a perfect run, never lost value YoY adjusted for inflation since 1970's. I don't believe you can find such a stock.

  3. One of the worst sell offs in U S history happened from 1973 through 1974.  Less than 1 in 10 rose in price durring that time.  A couple that did were ASA Ltd which rose from 22 to 69.  It is a closed end gold fund.  Sort of a parallel to today. No? Another was Diamond Coal.  Went from 4 to 10.  Another parallel.  Disney on the other hand went from 119 to 16.
