In the movie Saw, whatever happened to Dr. Gordon? He limped out, then what?

I thought I saw him in #4, at the end looking at Officer Rigg like the sketchy guy is.

After cutting off his foot, Dr. Gordon was freed from his shackle and told Adam he would go find help. We never find out what happened to him after that.

Some fans beleive that given the large amount of blood he must have been losing, and the fact that Adam was never rescued, it is most likely that he died before he could do anything.

Not to mention that Jigsaw would have also passed him on the way out after he locked Adam in the room. Even though Jigsaw never physically killed anyone he could have done a number of things to ensure that Dr. Gordon didn't make it out.

Many other viewers believe that Dr Gordon survived, and either escaped on his own or had Johns help.

There were boiling hot pipes right outside the room that Gordon, being a surgon would have known would help his wound.

It's possible that Jigsaw admired how he cut off his own foot probably because he didn't expect him to actually do it so he let him try to survive. You never know. The fate of Dr.Gordon is believed to become know in the 5th or 6th movie.

He didn't appear in Saw II, III and IV because in August 2005 actor Cary Elwes filed a lawsuit against the producers of Saw because of not getting paid. Now they have made up and Leigh Whannell stated that Gordon may be back in Saw V or VI.

There is no later mention of whether he lived or died. It was likely he died due to loss of blood. He has yet to appear in any of the following saw movies.

After the first movie, the actor who played Dr. Gordon was in a law suit with the studio, and after everything was finished with the lawsuit he had made up with the Saw producers. Leigh Whannell said that because the whole problem is over, Gordon may very well appear in Saw V or Saw VI.
