  1. to me, developers are on the bottom level of politicians and used car salesmen - actually, I think they're worse.  they don't give a rat's @ss about anything but making money and running to the next rape of the land - all while telling the world that WE ask for it.  Uh, no I didn't - nor was I asked.  I don't think I've ever witnessed a developer being told no because they'll sue the city into bankruptcy - now THAT I've seen.  Developers are simply put, the lowest form of 'human' life that exists - and the people that keep buying into these developments are just as bad - if they'd insist on recycling land that's that already been destroyed by previous "development" instead of having to have something brand new - we'd actually be showing some intelligence instead of reacting emotionally.  I also think the word "developer" is a misnomer - similar to "landfill."  The land doesn't need to be continually developed, it's fine the way it is nor does the land need to be constantly filled with garbage either - let's start calling it what it is and stop being so kind to ourselves.

  2. To make money....duh

Developers only spend money and build (as a consequence sometimes destroy nature) to add value in the market place and then sell or rent to make a profit.

We are all consumers (destroyers) of nature (resources) by our mere existence here on earth, so we are developers (growers) ourselves.  Also maybe for every tree cut down they planted 2 more (or bought some carbon footprint credits hahahaha see Al Gore about that). So it's not always simply destruction, there are renewable resources and high ideals and motives for building.

I'm all for business baby, but "developers" are on the low end.

  3. Humans need to develop land to live on it.  Build things like houses, roads, schools and hospitals.  In order to build that stuff, nature has to be destroyed.

Why...we need those things to survive.

Some Environmentalist Wacko's would cry and say we don't need all that stuff...and we should all live in deadwood shelters and such.  You will note though, that the Wacko has a house, car, and uses all the things we have built.

  4. People get bored rather easily an need something to preocupy them before they can get home and sit down and watch the simpsons
