In the new My Yahoo, can I have an e-mail link that tells me I have new mail but does not preview it?

Question

I did not want to switch to the new home page but now that the old ("classic") My Yahoo will be shut down next week, I was forced to. My problem is that I hate the e-mail preview on my home page - - I just want it to tell me that I have new mail, and let me navigate to it. The mail link on the very top of the page doesn't even tell if you have new mail like the old one did. Doesn't seem that complicated so I'm confused as to why that isn't an option.

if you don't want the personal assistant DELETE IT..

Well, you can remove your Yahoo! Mail Preview thing, and edit your personal assistant widget, by adding the "mail" option, so it shows when you have new mail. Right?
