In the new Superman movies they are about to make, should the characters have new names?

Out of respect for the great jobs that Christopher Reeve and Gene Hackman did and everyone associated with the Reeve Superman movies, I think the new versions should have enough tweaks to differentiate themselves from the Reeve Superman series. Make it Chris Kent falling in love with Heather Lane or somethin' like that.

I'd reboot it with a black cast, have LeBron James in the title role with Rhianna as his love interest and Denzel Washington as the bad guy. That would be a blockbuster..

That is actually a brilliant idea! I love it. It's fresh, original, inventive. It would be a reboot of the series. That would be the best superhero movie since The Dark Knight! Wow....I really am just shocked and blown away by that brilliance. Amazing sir, amazing

Your ideas are very clever and would lend a current, updated feel to new versions of Superman.  I don't see any reason why these couldn't be done.

its based off a comic book they made movies before reeves just like they didn't change batman and call him LUKE Wayne they wont change SUPERMAN it would ruin everything and Lebron are you serious and Rhianna do you even know if they can act but i like Denzel as a bad guy but making superman black it wouldn't be superman it would be blank-man 2 especially with that cast

Lebron James as Superman?  I would love to see the cast of Smallville do Superman on the big screen.  Everyone is perfect in their roles especially Lex and Clark

Impossible. Look around your town and see just how many phone booths there are. NONE.  Poor Superman, no matter what his color could/would be.
