  1. actually the first is right, Knight Industries Three Thousand.

    see your ref. it states the original tv show KITT'S name was Knight Industries Two Thousand.


  2. Knight Rider is not a 'new' show. It's actually a remake of the same titled program from the 80's. KITT stood for 'Knight Industries Two Thousand' however in the remake it stands for 'Knight Industries Three Thousand' to reflect updating and other things.
