In the olympics, why do the shower off right after they dive, if they are going to dive again?

In the olympics, why do the shower off right after they dive, if they are going to dive again?

maybe the water in the pool is cold.

They do it to warm up.  The dive pool is actually pretty cool temperature wise.  Divers shower in hotter water after they dive to warm up and to relax the muscles.

It is to keep their muscles warm and loose. When you get out of the water you get cold and if they are going to dive again they need to keep their muscles loose.
