how does it form NADP+ when accepting electrons because I thought it was reduced and it would be negative because there is a gain of electrons...and then it adds 2H+ on???

HELP please...

Is this the same for the NAD in respiration too??

  1. NADP+ will take up two electrons to form NADPH.  Think of the first electron as canceling the "+" charge on NADP+.  The second electron is accompanied by incorporation of a H+ to make NADPH.  So, charge is balanced out.
