  1. You can evolve as many different Pokemon as you have in play per turn.  The only rule is for normal evolution, the Pokemon has to have been in play for one turn before it can evolve.  There are game mechanics that let you get around this rule (e.g., Rare Candy).  But if you start the game with 1 Active and 1 Benched Pokemon, then on your next turn you could evolve both of them provided you have the evolution cards.

If you Knock Out your opponent's Active Pokemon (Pokemon are Knocked Out, never killed), and your opponent has no Benched Pokemon, then you win the game.  That's one of the three win conditions, with the other two being (a) you draw all 6 of your prize cards before your opponent and (b) your opponent is unable to draw a card from his deck at the beginning of his turn (i.e., he has drawn through his entire deck).

    Hope this helps!
