In the shower, do you start the water then get in, or get in first?

i have to start the water first and adjust the temperature in the shower before i get in .

i also open the curtain to get in .

i close it after i stand under the shower .

sometimes i start it before i get in but sometimes i put it on when im in but im on the oppisite side of the shower

You have to adjust the temperature first or you get blasted with cold water, which sucks.

I start it first to test the temp.  It varies by the season, it's warm in the summer, so I never have to turn on the hot faucet, but it's reeeeeeally cold in the winter.

I start it, then get in. I would suggest this method because before you get in, you can check how hot or cold the water is before you get in. Also it will wash down anything in the tub that you could slip on, like hair or soap. It is a safe method and could save your life.
