In the sims 2 apartment life how do you get your roomate to pay rent also or do they pay on their on?

and also my roommates never did pay so is this a BUG or wat i even click on them and it doesnt say nothing about pay rent....also wat happened to the cell phone they disapper wen u answer wen sombody calls WATS WRONG WIT THIS GAME

I've noticed the same things, but when my sim pays rent it is half of what it's supposed to be. And I started purchasing several cell phones because they always disappear. There are always bugs in the expansion packs when it first comes out. Eventually a patch will come out to fix the problems.
