In the sims 2 deluxe edition can my sim have more than one husband?

My sim had a husband but the husband was a deadbeat and I made him move out. Now my sim is VERY interested in another sim, she is in love with this sim but cant propose a marriage or anything! can my sim get have 2 husbands? If not how can she divorce the one she has now for the new one?

Well the problem is that your Sim and the husband still technically have good relations.Look at your relationship panel to see how much your sim likes/loves this husband.Now depending on that,you will have to bring that level down to where they fight all the time ect..then the break up option will eventually become available.

Since you've already moved the husband out,you may still have him come over. You will have to move him into his own house and buy him a phone and nothing else,save the game then enter your own home.Call him up to come over...(You might want to have your sims boyfriend over so you can kiss on him in front of your husband)Either that or move him back into the house and argue with him till the breakup option comes up.If he's still living there and you break up,he will automatically leave the house and you will be single again.This is the most honest way to play without any codes or cheats.

You could use the Sim modder to make them hate eachother then break up quickly.To get the sim modder,you will have to open your cheat bar by hitting ctrl alt c all together.Now in the bar at the top of the screen you will type boolprop testingcheatsenabled true .Now you may hit shift and click on your sim.You will see many options and among them will be one that says Spawn.Click that and then click through all the options until you see the sim modder.Click the Sim modder and a baby doll will appear in front of you.Now you may close the boolprop cheat by hitting ctrl alt c again and typing boolprop testingcheatsenabled false .Now you may click on the sim modder and you will see where it says relationships then you may choose from there if you'd like your sim to mutually dislike or even hate the husband.This will lead to a much faster break up.

Since I don't know how you'd rather play it,I thought I'd suggest two ways to do what you want to do.Either way will work,one more quickly than the other.Your sims can have all the affairs they want but only one spouse at a time.

Oh I was also reading what other people were saying about killing the husband off and making yourself a widow.That obviously works too.There are many ways to do this,but the other ways I suggested are the more peaceful way to go lol.If you'd like tips on killing off a sim feel free to ask me.Its whatever you want to do.

You have to make them hate each other by arguing all the time, eventually the divorce option will show up. A faster way is to just kill off the first husband, start a fire or something...

Deleting the first husband from the family bin might work too, but I'm not sure.

this is what you could do:

1) If the person the sim likes is built into the game, meaning it does not live in a house. You can make them move in together and then propose.

2) If the person your sim likes is not built into the game, you can have them propose to her.

3) You can kill the first husband, making her a widow.. and therefore available again.

4) you have more choices when your sims know each other better so you could try getting their relationship to Best friends or lovers.

Invite the husband and the potential husband sim to the female's house.

Have your female flirt or kiss with the potential husband.  The current husband will become furious because he was cheated on.

Using the female as your selected character, click on her husband and choose "Break Up".

They will not be married anymore and the female sim will have the option to marry the other male sim.
