does david himself hit the high notes or is it the background singer. just wondering.

I believe it is him. He can hit real high notes.

It's deffinitely him, and the 'background singer' is still his voice.. they just recorded it ealier and then put the 2 together. But he can go up in the falsetto range, so it's obviously him.

It looks like david is making those notes, but i know what you mean because it does sound a bit like someone is singing those high notes with him.

I think it's him.  His voice can go pretty high (although not as high as the other David!)
