In the spooky bird dance, what are the birds forming?

I just looked at this video on the buzz website, and it was called the spooky bird dance or poltergeist birds. and it said that they were forming something, and i was like the only one who didn't no what it was forming.

I also don't understand what exactly was going on in this video. It was indeed, amazing, but why was there no other information given? What kinds of birds are they? Why are the behaving that way? Anything? xD

on the yahoo homepage it says they formed some unknown virtual creature.

It looks to me at 1:15 it forms something with wings.

But to me the bigger question is what made them do it?
