They give out the shirts at the games so that the crowd is united and it overwhelms the other team, I wanted the Bruins to do it with Gold. That would be annoying.

well the Penguins gave out shirts for a white out. Its to get the crowd and players all excited and show their spirit.

I believe the arena's gave out all those shirts when the fans entered the arena, so I think the crowd all wearing the same color is more a team-influenced idea then anything else.

It's funny if wingnut thought ANYONE would confuse the stands as support for the Wings. If anything would have made the WINGS fans look like Penguins supports. Especially since most fans would have worn the Red jerseys and shirts because it was ANNOUNCED the Pens were doing a White Out. The Shirts were paid for by local companies and were given to fans as they entered.

detroit the see of red wings jerseys lol i kno its not official and they all have diff  color jerseys but most of the fans and by mst i say only like maybe a hundred come to games without wings jerseys on

Philly sea of orange (Free shirts givin out)

Pens sea of white (free shirts givin out)

and Coyotes White out. (continue of what the Jets fans started) Haven't made the post season in a while think it may have been shirts given away for the coyotes as well.
