  1. I think you would be a fool to try it.

You may  get a punch in the nose and while you could be lucky  and get the offender into court I expect the judge will question you sanity for even approaching someone over such a lame issue as jay walking.

I think its goes.   Get a life.

  2. if the cops see that you put your self and other drivers in the street  in danger you will get a fine up to $150 + if you have a warrant for sure you will be arrested

  3. Simple answer: if you refuse to sign the ticket you will be handcuffed and taken to jail.

  4. Depends...

Jaywalking - the walking in between two controlled intersections, is an infraction, not a misdemeanor. The violation itself is punishable only by a fine, not incarceration. Now... let's say you are drunk and you jaywalk. Now you may be drunk in public and jaywalking. Jaywalking is a dangerous act that may lead the Cop into believing you are unable to care for yourself, and you may be arrested and spend the night in jail for being, "Drunk in Public."

Jaywalking itself is NOT an arrestable offense in CA.

  5. I think you can fine a person for jaywalking.

  6. "jay-walking" is a misdemeanor offense and is punishable for a citation, resulting in a small fine.

the only way the jay-walker could be arrested is if he or she is on probation. any misdemeanor performed while on probation, violates that probation and can result in an arrest.

  7. you can surely get a ticket.... arrest is unlikely
