In the state of ohio can a ticket be droped due to mistakes on the ticket?

my father got a ticket for running a red light(but he really didnt) but the ticket is wrong it has the wrong year of the car and the wrong color of the car

Well, it is a real stretch, but he could argue that it was not him. However, if he signed the ticket then he can't say that it wasn't him. Other than that, the courts will consider the situation minor

Depends on the Judge.  In your case it looks like you will have to pay the ticket because the mistake made really has nothing to do with the actuall law breaking event that is in question.
