Jail sentence for dwi #2 / child endangerment

if this is a state jail felony are you eligable for early release and how long a sentence on those charges. Will judge be understanding about me turning my life around and not seperating me from my child again

I'd say if you did the crime, then you do the time..

And when did u start changing your life? I mean

come on now.. that sounds like a good excuse to use on your behalf in court..

Actions speak louder than words, and kids don't learn by what you say to them, they learn by what you show them.. Set an example ALREADY!

no early release from a state jail felony (Texas I assume?) the range is from 180 days to 2 years with any sentence having to be served day for day.  Certainly any judge will take into consideration how you have changed your life but if the crime is inherently "bad" (e.g. you killed or hurt someone), the judge might not.

A couple of years in prison.  And to be honest, I can't see a judge being sympathetic towards turning your life around....I don't see how someone turns their life around with a second dwi.

Texas has the least sympathy for dwi than any other state so I doubt it.Fines are severe and 6 months to a year of incarceration is likely for a second offense.

Your best best is to get in gear and get into rehab/counseling for your drinking. Also sign up and get into parenting classes

Have a job  and then when you go to court you can show that you are in fact doing what is right



Driving with your child while drunk is not a good thing This is second time???

I would really look into AA and state funded counseling you can likely contact your local Health department for alcohol abuse treatment.

They m,may decide in the end if you do these things to give you a chance and give supervised probation etc

Please get your self together though Your kids need you and while you can THINK while drunk that you are doing well as a parent please know that while high or drunk we all make mistakes and our kids at that time do not come first

They grow up so fast and you will look back and be so sorry you missed out on these times.
