In the state of wisconsin do you have to report a change of paint color?

I want to change the color of my car and want to know if I have to report it to the dmv, been looking on-line for a number or information on it I cant find anything on it.

Yes you do but not until you renew your registration.  See below:

341.335(1m) No person is required to notify the department before the next renewal of registration for the vehicle that a vehicle’s color has been changed from the color stated in the most recent application for registration of the vehicle.

If you don't have a police record, or are not on probation, you can paint your car as many times as you desire.
