In the twilight saga by SM, why does Bella's scent happen to be so . . . tantilising?

like, it was the 'best blood he'd smelt his whole life so far' or something, but WHY? why her and what makes her so special, if that makes any sense.....

Well, because Edward got a whiff of her blood by sitting right next to her,and he thought it was the best blood he'd smelled. cause it was like no other.and since hes a vampire, he tried to stay away from her cause he didn't want to hurt her. so, Bella's scent was so tantalizing cause her scent was so sweet, but Edward didn't want to hurt her.

He happens to like the flavour of 'Bella'.

And the thing about Emmett, he didn't kill his lover. He killed some random person that smelt as nice to him as Bella smelt to Edward.

Well, it's only that tantalizing to Edward. We don't really know why but it happens to the vamps sometimes. Remember how it happened to Emmett? But he killed the woman instead, unlike Edward, who fell in love with Bella.

And imprinting basically means to love someone and want to protect them more than anything else. It doesn't necessarily mean you feel attracted to them (at least not until they get old enough) but Sam thinks it's so that they have the best chance at carrying on the line of werewolves.

i think it was kinda random why she smelt so good to him. maybe it was the fact that he couldnt hear her mind..

imprinting is when the wolves saw a girl and wanted to make them happy and keep them safe even if they were still very young. it wouldnt be romantic while they were young but as they grew up and wanted boyfriends, it would turn romantic

its cuz edward bonded with bella.. he picked her.. its kindof like how jake imprints .. but its nothing like it other than the fact that edward is a vampire and he is only attracted to the sent of bella in that whole omg i love you kind of way..

He wasn't as strong as Edward. Edward was gonna kill Bella but he knew the Cullens would be exposed. It's just one of those things like they were meant for each other. SM doesn't always explain everything fully but thats how it would be in real life wouldn't it? You wouldn't keep questioning why somebody fell in love at first sight if you get what I mean. That's the beauty of SM's writing, she always leaves a bit for your imagination to run away with you. Some people don't like it, some people do.

Imprinting is when someone can't live without out them once they've met them. BD will explain that relationship a bit better.

Imprinted can happy at any age, with anyone with a wolf. It's kinda sweet if people don't start calling them pedos because its not that at all. =/
