  1. Yes you can. If you are there when they hatch, they will follow you around like a puppy. Approach a farmer for ducklings or get a farming magazine with info on were to buy one. But do your homework and find out what you need to give it a proper home. You could call it Donald or Crispy!

  2. My advice to you is to have a pond because they mess alot everywhere LOL. They are not the cleanest animals. Very nice to watch on the pond though but if you don't have water I doubt you will keep the duck very long as they are messy away from the pond LOL.

  3. I had 5 ducks as pets and they lived in my back garden but came into the house when I opened the door every morning. They were very friendly and so cute. I had to clean up the floor after they'd paid their morning visit though; squirts everywhere! They ate 'layered mash' and 'whitebait' (small fish) and they loved strawberries and flowers too!

I bought them from a pet shop in London of all places and the breed was  'Khaki Campbell'. They live for approx' 3-5 years but they have to be guarded against foxes.

  4. In most places, some want you to apply to the council though.

However, it is amazingly cruel to keep a duck in your house.  They need company, outside space, and loads of water!

  5. Yes, you can. You have to find a farm, and buy newly hatched ducklings. Be careful about where you go; you get duckling farms like you do puppy farms. My mum's friend nearly did, but wisely chose the cleaner farm. I'm guessing you can buy one for £40, for she bought six ducks for about £240 (it was a while ago though...). Make sure, though, that when you have them, you protect them against foxes if they're a problem in your area. And I mean a proper Fort Knox for the cage at night...
