  1. I build systems ...

And I wholeheartedly recomend CCL, winner of many awards, to build you a barebones system and then add to it. You can specifiy a full build with the componants you want to use or pick from there pre built systems and is all tested for you.

They are Very good on price, and good on delivery

  2. All of them or it wont work.

  3. I would use an intel 8400 or 8500 dual core CPU (3ghz/3.16ghz) both of which will overclock very well. For a gaming pc I would use dual core not quad core as some games cannot use 4 cores.

I would probably use an ASUS motherboard. The p5kc supports DDR2 and DDR3 Ram so there is possibility to upgrade.

For graphics I would use the newer 9 series Nvidia or the 260/280 series.

Then 2GB of very fast Ram, a SATA Harddrive and a case.

Make sure you chose a power supply with all the relevant connectors and of a good wattage.

I always use http://www.aria.co.uk/  for my PC components. Very good prices and quick delivery

  4. Case:Cooler Master Cosmos S case

Go to http://www.aria.co.uk/ and type one of these into the search box and hit enter. Then click on the appropriate result and add it to your basket. You'll want to create an account though.

    This'll be well over £1000

  5. For the graphics I would go for an Nvidia 8800GT. I think you could pay in the region of £120-140 but it's performing as good as most of the 9 series. You'll need 2GB minimum of RAM memory in your pc for gaming.

  6. I'm going to translate it all into USD.

You have approximately $1600 to spend. (According to google it's actually ~1560, but 1600 is nicer)

    prices from from newegg.com

    LCD 22" - $250

    Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 - $190

    DFI LANPARTY DK P35-T2RS - $130

    4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 800 - $75

    Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD6400AAKS 640GB - $85

    ATI HD4870 - $280

    Corsair VX550 - $90

Case of your choice + fans - $90

    Keyboard/mouse - $30

    Headset - $30

    DVD/CD Optical drive - $20

    Operating System - $100

Shipping and buffer money - Remaining $220

If you find yourself short on money, drop the E8500 for an E8400. You can also cut costs on the case.

If you have the extra money to afford it, upgrade the 4870 to a 4870X2 (that's another $280). The 4870X2 is the most powerful single card on the market.

  7. it depends on what specs you want some games focus on graphics others on performance. Obviously the type of game will play a role. Servers which have a massive influx of players will mean more ram is needed. For £850 i can see a simple all purpose system being built, I suggest keeping to some older products that work just as well and change them when you can afford too.
