  1. Well I eat on the American side but drink on the Britt'z side to get the best of both world'z .Thank'x for askin.

  2. Depends on what your looking for, USVI is more modern, populated, and tourist related (shopping, dinning, & nightlife) the BVI on the other hand is more "real" caribbean with more focus on water & sun.  Both are stunningly beautiful, and worth the visits.  The beauty of the whole thing is, you can do both on the same vacation, as scheduled ferry service is avalible throughout the virgin islands.

  3. Ouch...what a question.

It is like asking which taste better, ice cream or cake, apples or oranges. Its is a different feel.

    USVI

ST. Thomas the capitol of the USVI, my one time home, is the most city living you will get in the Virgin Islands with lots of resorts, hotels, clubs, duty-free shopping for high luxury items. The population of this not so big island is 60K making it very condense for its size.  But what STT lacks in width it goes up. The island is very mountainous.

ST. John is pristine, national park with high overlooks and gorgeous peaks. You could not see a greener place and some place that would inspire you to listen to Sting and do yoga. The resorts are the height of luxury and you will pay.

ST. Croix the largest of all with a slightly higher population that ST.Croix...is more like suburban living island style.

    BVI

Tortola, the home of my maternal grandmothers, is often called STT in 1970. Its population is very small at 17K. The island restricts growth of people and business. And people come for the community. Very mountainous. My cousin who lives there took me on peeks so high, I swore I needed  a sherpa and a hook to get down.

    Virgin Gorda..

Imagine a Arizona spa in the Caribbean with these beautiful exotic baths.  And there are cactuses.

I never went to Jost Van d**e even though I have relatives there.

But more important you do not have to choice. If you have 7 days in STT....you can take ferrys and seaplanes easily and cheaply between them. They are so close you can see one from the other.

  4. In my opinion nowhere else  in the Caribbean offers such a good vacation value as the US Virgins.  Secluded beaches.  National Parks. Duty-free shopping. Campgrounds.   Kayaking.  Hiking. Ecological tours. World-class diving.  Superb  sailing.  Tropical forests. Local craftsmen. Island art. Sunbathing. Fine Dining.  Nightlife.

The BVI are also very nice to but my vote goes to USVI)
