Shearer:  "Smoky" almost definitely had more impact on the pitch, but Cole wqas an out & out striker & Shearer was a number nine centre forward, so they really played very different roles.  We're back to comparing "Maestro" Haynes versus Paul Ince in central midfield once again...

Larsson: McCoist was a top flight goalscorer in the Scottish Lge., but during the peak seasons of his career Larsson could've won a starting XI spot for club sides like Man. Utd., Barca, or AC Milan.

Bergkamp: Other posters have pointed out that Bergkamp was the better all-rounder & I think that he had more seasons at the top of his game as well.

Ronaldo:  Even w/all of his injury problems, Ronaldo can make a serious challenge for being one of the top 10 strikers of all-time.  You were asking about R9 VS Henry here, right?

Scholes:  I'll go w/Scholes by a NARROW margin here, but they're really quite difficult to compare IMHO.  Lamps is more of an attacking/goalscoring MF while Scholes is a midfield controller who's also good at scoring goals.

Gerrard VS Keane:  Too close to call & they're really too different to try and compare to each other.
