In their primes Clubber Lang vs Apollo Creed?

Me and my buddy have argued about this forever. 15 round fight, using rocky type rules.

Apollo Creed would win easily.  The reason- speed.  Apollo taught Rocky how to beat Clubber by using speed and when you compare the speed and skill level of Rocky and Apollo, Creed is by far the better.  Rocky beat Apollo because he had more heart.  If Creed fought Lang in his prime, Apollo would box the ears off of Clubber and not get within knockout range, and he would win by a stoppage.  Lang would not be able to go the distance with Creed because he did not have enough heart- only Rocky could do that because of his heart (and Creed's fight with Drago does not even factor in because Creed was way passed his prime).
