Energy and the environment will be central to McCain-Palin Campaign...

In an interview for the September issue of the conservative magazine Newsmax, Gov. Sarah Palin, R-Alaska, said she does not believe climate change is caused by human behavior.

She should not only be removed from the GOP ticket, she should be removed from the Alaskan Governorship given that Alaska will suffer affects of Global Warming before most of the rest of the country.

  1. Not everyone buys into all that Al Gore/Hypocrite b*llshit.

  2. Well maybe because the science isn't there to PROVE it. Read the book State of Fear and learn the truth. Yes the book is fiction, but the science is real. Why do you believe Al "I use more energy then most families" Gore? If he believe what he was saying then he would be practicing what he preaches. He is a former Govt Official so he is preaching the Govt line to help create the State of Fear. When you are ready to accept the truth you will see why some of us aren't buying in to Global Warming.

  3. There is some good evidence that global warming is the result of human behaviour, but no scientist who shouldn't have their degrees taken away will tell you that it's anywhere near a 100% certainty.

Yes, the Earth is getting warmer, that has been measured and proven, but all clinical data observing the effects of human behaviour on a given climate have come up ultimately inconclusive.

  4. You are distorting governor Palin's position.

    1.  She does believe in global warming.

    2.  She doesn't pretend to have all the answers, she believes the jury is still out on our understanding of global warming.

    3.  She is not totally convinced that human activity can account for global warming.

That said, she does consider herself as pro-environment and will work hard to protect the environment.  Yes, she believes in drilling, but only as part of the answer to energy independence.  She supports, "all of the above" in response to the energy crisis.

  5. Because plenty of right-wing idiots don't believe in it either.

  6. When was it decided that only those who agree with Al Gore and the environmentalist should be allowed to hold office.  What is next only people of one religion can hold office. Not everyone in this country agreeswith Global Warming.

  7. Its strange that shes on record of standing up to BIG OIL yet she wants to drill in her home state which will benefit and profit  the very same people,a true Bush person if you ask me!

  8. Listen Gore, it must be hard trying to get people to buy in to this Global Warming hype.  This is a question coming from a man dressed in a nun outfit!!??  Did human behavior end the Ice Age?  Answer that he who dances in nuns clothes.

  9. Sister Mary, you need to go back to your prayers, you really haven't a clue what is going on in the real world.

Questioning that manmade global warming is a fact is NOT the same thing as being concerned about the environment and finding alternative energy sources... both of which Palin is VERY much concerned about.

BTW, well over 30,000 American scientists (almost 10,000 with PhDs) have ALSO questioned that manmade global warming exists, so Palin is in VERY good company.

  10. you visited Al Gore's koolaid stand didnt you?

  11. Why did it go from a ice age in the 70's to warming now?

  12. Some of us refuse to jump on the bandwagon of gullible souls

  13. Oh yeah... Get over this BS,Global warming is a joke made up by Gore to make money... Hate to tell you idiots, its been going on for millions of years. Another stupid Demm scare tactic, lies, like all the rest...

  14. The right wing talk show guys have been against the concept of climate change for 20 years that I know of.  These guys are on the air 24/7 and they have an immense following.  Their hatred for Al Gore never allowed them to consider the science of climate change...if Al was worried about it, then by definition the right wing had to use that worry to attack him.  There was a time when almost our entire atmosphere was CO2...that was before land plants began to exchange CO2 for oxygen.  As plants, both large and microscopic die the carbon in them gets buried and over millions of years of heat and pressure becomes coal and oil. (Unless you believe 'God' put them there.)  By burning this fossil material all of that CO2 is released back into the atmosphere.  Given that our atmosphere is no thicker in relation to the mass of the earth than the skin on an onion this massive release over a short period of time of CO2 could easily change the atmosphere...and it has.  There is 35% more CO2 in the atmosphere now than 50 years ago.  Ice core samples from around the world confirm this.  'Warming' may be a slippery way to define the effects of this change, but we do see shorter winters and longer summers, more melting ice because of this and a noticable movement of plants and animals further north and higher into the mountains.  If Gov. Palin doesn't see this connection she's a victim of mass propaganda....the same as millions of other Americans who have no concept of science and how these things are determined.  Sad but true!

  15. How can anyone be convinced on global warming when top scientists disagree on the issue?

Some scientists believe we're causing global warming and it's harming the planet...other scientists believe that global warming isn't a man-made problem and is beneficial to the planet.

  16. I'm hoping that Palin turns out to be a corruption fighter in Washington.

She can start by indicting Al Gore for perpetrating his little fraud.

For those of you have never studied meteorology or the climate.  It changes all the time and not for the reasons you think it does.

  17. average working families are far more concerned about the reality of

filling their gas tank over the fantasy that we are able to cause the

climate to change with our puny, pathetic efforts!

  18. well...i guess you're right...but she has a v****a...that is all that matters to us hillary supporters

  19. Look up more sources on global warming, get both sides of the argument

  20. Neither do I and apparently neither do those on the left who continue to fly around in gas guzzling environment polluting private jets.  There are many scientists that agree with Palin.

  21. I think anyone who is voted in or chosen as a candidate has a right to remain. In my opinion the Republican party, inserting religion into politics is a very dangerous thing, that's how we get into the religious right challenging the notion that this planet is warming to the point that it will kill us eventually. We have had the problem of religion in government in the Dark Ages with the religious minds saying the Earth was flat and the Inquisition, which was a war of Christians decapitating Muslims in the name of God.
