I'm 14 years old, and I'm going on a trip to Buffalo, NY with my youth group to do a service project. I will be there about a week. We're taking a van to get there, and it's about a 5 hour drive from where we are. Would it be easier/better to take a duffel bag or rolling suitcase?

  1. Duffel bag.  I have traveled a lot.  I've always carried my luggage.  That is because the people who are always struggling or stuck with luggage are always the ones trying to roll their luggage.  Nobody who actually carries their bag seems to have too much trouble.

  2. well, if you are going with your entire youth group, a duffel bag would probably appreciated because there will be limited space in the van...when I go on trips like those I always bring a duffel bag instead of a rolling suitcase

  3. If this was me I would bring the rolling suitcas, easier to roll around insead of carrying.

  4. I'd take a duffel bag b/c you probably won't have to carry it very far.  Plus you'll have more pockets.

  5. Walmart has the perfect compromise - rolling duffel bags.  I have used them often.  They aren't great quality but they do a great job.  They cost less than $20 each and can hold a ton of stuff.

  6. I would take a duffel bag, but if you're walking a lot with it, the rolling suitcase would help. I would take which ever is smallest.
