  1. My favorite quote is from Song of the South: "You can't run away from trouble. There ain't no place that far."

  2. I have a couple of places ... Tibet, or Alaska .. either way somewhere remote, no traffic, no shopping malls, no c**p.

  3. I will go to one of the Caribbean isolated island and live peacefully there

  4. I will stay right here in Australia.    The Australian continent is smack in the middle of its own tectonic plate where earthquakes and volcanoes are considered very very rare.

The place is so huge that in a time of trouble there are plenty of places in the outback to disappear to and nobody will find you.

  5. Once I saw a movie 'Dersu Uzala' made by the famous Akira Kurosawa. I was captivated by the stark desolation of eastern Siberia where you can't find a soul nearby. I would like to camp there for a week maximum. Supplies - food and all that is a problem, you see! But I want to get as far as away from humans.

  6. I have found solitude in the Austrian Alps

one thing seems to be overlooked though, no matter where you go the peace seems to get broken with the noise of planes

planes are the biggest noise polluter also doing the most damage to the greenhouse effect
