It's because that's where they get their power from when jumping.

Well because they use there back legs for hopping and all there movement. There back legs are constantly moving and working so naturally they will be stronger and more muscular. There front legs aren't really used, so yeah that's why.

Like... Why are our legs so muscular and big while our arms are weak and small.
