In transit? a QUESTION for people who know things about mail and shiping stuff?

ok so i ordered a package that was supposed to come today and i a used its tracking number and its in china.... anyways it said it was in transit in china so what does that mean

  1. Probably on a ship somewhere.


  2. Meaning it hasnt left china.

  3. We have a tracking system, (TNT Global) and with us, if it's in transit in a country, then it means it's still on it's way to the airport. It then gets scanned onto the plane and is then classified as en route from China and then when it lands it is scanned as in transit in whatever country it has arrived in. Then you know it's nearly there.
