    CB=36

    using pythagorean theorem

    the hypotenus or AB = rootof{(CB^2)+(AC^2)}

    the above eq is only applicable to right angle triangles (one angle is a right angle).

  3. AB is hypotenuse

    AB² = AC² + BC²

    = 15² + 36² = 1521

    AB = √1521 = 39
