In upstate new york can i legally shoot my pellet gun in my yard?

I am 15 and an avid hunter and i am familiar with the fact that to be target shooting a bow in my yard i am supposed to have written permission by everyone within 500 feet of where i am shooting and also that a pellet gun is not considered a firearm. So the question is can i legally shoot a 360 fps walther nighthawk co2 powered pellet pistol in my yard? i have only been shooting in my basement because if you look this pellet gun up you will see that it is VERY realistic looking and without any of the weaver rails, flashlight, or red dot on it it looks exactly like a .45........i have tried googling the answer to this but was unable to find any information any help would be appreciated

I am sure you cn because i shoot my Hatson Pellet rifle in my garden and i live in a complex
