    Letting a vehicle stand to warm up isn't productive as it reaches operating temperature best when it's driven under load.

    So start it then drive it.....that's what it was built to do.

    I've no idea why you think the engine needs to be revved several times.

    Depressing the accelerator doesn't do anything to the clutch, they are entirely separate pedals.

    Keeping the accelerator depressed simply makes the car move assuming you have engaged the drive that is.

    Start the car, make sure you've removed any visibility issues due to the cold then enter the traffic and drive.

    It really is a simple as that.
