    To block an opponent's service is forbidden.

  9. What do you mean?  A player on the opposing team or a player on the same team?  If it's the former, it's fine.   If it's the later, then it's a serve error.  The ball will go to the other team.

  10. no... that would not be a good idea... you would be giving points to the other team if you do that... trust me i have played vollyball for 6 years and i play school league, winter league, and summer league.. and our team was first in our conference... :)

  11. Depending on the rules you play by, but most rules do not allow the other team to block or attack (spike) a serve, you usually have to pass (bump) or carefully set a serve.

  12. no they cannot block the serve. In the past they changed it so that they could then couldnt and they've been switching all the time. But right now they have stated you CANNOT block a serve.

  13. No that is against the rules in volleyball. Even if you stand there and hold your hands above the net, that is still considered a block. The ball has to successfully be passed not blocked to start the play.That would be awesome if you could do that though. Haha
