  1. It is okay to; but if you want a controlled serve then you will want to serve with an open hand.

  2. either way, doing a fist will get you more power, but if you use a srtaight hand you can either do a flowter serve or a top spin serve, which might be a little more difficult for the oppenents to pass!

  3. Well, it is legal, but you have much less control of where the ball goes.  If  you serve with an open hand, you can direct it much better, which is sometimes better than pure power.

  4. our refs won't let us, but i'm not sure about yours.

We have to hit with an open hand.

But, you're coach and refs are different.

    :]

  5. Yes it is ok for you to serve with your hands in a fist.

  6. It is legal to overhand serve with a fist.  You can do it either way, for instance if you're not so strong and have a hard time serving it over the net use a fist but if you're getting it over fine with an open hand I would use that.  Hope this helped good luck!!!

  7. your serves will be better if you hit the ball just below your palm, with your hands in a fist it's more likely to go out of bounds and it hurts more=/
