  1. I goes it means when ball gos out of line

  2. so like the side with the ball, is out. LIke they don't serve again until they SIDE out, lol

  3. we call it play for side out......

it means that you have to receive the ball if you're not sure that the ball will go out or not...

    it's playing safe...

    it sure helps a lot!

  4. sideout means that that you defend the serve and put the ball away so the opposing team does not score and your team has the serve for the point.

  5. the old way of keeping score for vball is called "side-out scoring", that is u only get a point if u served that ball (of cuz winning the play first).  u want a "side-out" becuz the opposit team keep serving and keep winning points,  u want to get the ball back for ur side to serve so u can get points also.  (u don't really see ppl say "side-out" to their own team when they r winning.)

it became like an encouragement now, even ppl r playing w/ rally score, but they will still "side-out" when they r losing.  =P

    (FYI some ppl/leagues r still playing w/ side-out score.)

i dunno if that's the true origin, but that's my logic.. XDDD

  6. :) It means break the other opponents serve
