  1. A 4 hit pass is when you pass, set, or hit the ball 4 times while its on your side.....its illegal because you are only supposed to have 3 hits per side each play!

  2. 4 hits on one side of the net are illegal.  A hit is anytime that contact is made with the ball.  (If one person contacts the ball twice in a row {intentionally or unintentionally}, it is called a double hit.)  Ideally, there are 3 hits (a bump, followed by a set, & then a spike).

  3. it is if 4 people on one team hit the ball that is illegal because only 3 hits are allowed

  4. The rule is that your team has three touches to return the ball over the net.  When a player from your side goes for a block and the ball tips off their hands it is not counted as a touch.

  5. the ball was touched 4 times....obv

but sometimes refs can call bad when it touches the block it doesnt count but sometimes they call it

  6. means that u lost that point and given the ball to the oyher team along with the point

But i think that a block does no treally count as a hit

  7. a 4 hit pass is illegal to do unless one of ur hits got blocked by the other team. u r suppose to have 3 hits totall. they r bump set hit. the last one is suppose to go over the net, unless it got blocked by the other team then u can try to hit it over the net again.

  8. A four hit pass is illegal because you are only allowed three hits unless one is a block.

  9. 1)It can be like the others said a illegal play by hiting the ball 4 times

2)It can also be that when we used to play the setter shows the hitter(spiker) that he is going to pass him the ball by showing him 4 behind his back, meaning it is going to be a outside pass!!!
