  1. someone who watches the person(s) being towed and tells the driver to speed up slow down if they want to stop or if they fall off

  2. someone who watches the water skiier and tells the driver of the boat if they fell, want to stop, etc... :]

  3. the person who is not driving the boat, but watching the skier or tube

  4. someone who sits on the boat and looks for other boats.  When you fall, the spotter will raise the flag so other boats don't come and mow you down.

  5. A person who sits backwards in the boat to keep an eye on the skier in case they fall.

  6. The person watching the skier to see if they wipe out. With no spotter the driver of the boat may not know that the skier dumped and could continue for miles before having to back track and try to find him/her.

  7. someone that gets in the water behind you and helps you get up. they push you up out of the water so its easier to get up
