In what category does art fall into like in major?

i want to paint and draw in what category/major does it fall in to? and what are the best schools for it

You would be a Fine Art major...after 4 years, you would get a BFA...bachelors of fine arts.

Some of the best art schools are Rhode Island School of Design, School of Visual Arts, Parsons and Pratt, all in NYC.  There's also Maryland Institute of Art...

Well at my college i went to.  It had 4 fields to go into for art.  There was Graphic Design. 2-D Studio. 3-D Studio. Fine Art. But most of best schools offer more, can't name any off the top of my head.  Just search it out or talk to an advisor. They will tell what's good or what your options are.
