In what clubs in Los Angeles can I perform?

I am 18 years old, I create my own music. Hip hop music. I think I am pretty good, and I have performed before, including my school prom. I want to get more recognition and perform at clubs for free just so people could hear my name and maybe I could get lucky. What clubs offer the chance for unheard music artists to display their talents on their stages?

you might just have to start small... like getting your name out and doing house parties... its a good way to meet other people in the industry... where are you from?

I live in LA and my friend is a DJ a LA BOOM night club. He says that a sure way to get your tracks heard is to send them out to the clubs (and their corresponding dj's) your interested in, there's the Knitting Factory, and the there are a bunch of underground cafes in downtown willing to give you a shot if you stick around. Also my husband's cousin owns a club, if you email me some of your music I'll send it to him, he's had Pitbull and other Hip Hop artists perform there, I'm sure that would be the perfect venue.
