  1. It's east of Turkey, which is where people commonly say Europe ends and Asia begins (hence "Asia Minor").

  2. "Because of sociopolitical and cultural differences, there are various descriptions of Europe's boundary; in some sources, some territories are not included in Europe, while other sources include them." - Wikipedia.

Georgia is one of those territories. Some consider it to be part of Europe, some think it's part of Asia.

One point of view fixes Europe's boundaries on the Ural mountains to the east, and the Kura river in Azerbaidjan to the south-east. That would mean Georgia is within European boundaries.

It's safest to say it's an Eurasian country.

  3. It spans over both continents - there is no official border between Europe and Asia, they are separated by mountain ranges and the Caspian sea.  The mountain range runs through Georgia - therefore Gerogia is in both continents.

  4. The notion that there are 2 continents, one called Europe and the other Asia can be easily dispelled by an objective look at any accurate map or globe. At least if you define continent as a "***single*** large landmass".

  5. Um...North America?

Edit:OMG.  I was kidding.  People have no sense of humor.

  6. georgia is like a border to europe and asia (but there are 3 more versions by which georgia belongs to asia but the official one is the first)

  7. Europe

  8. Georgia is one of the oldest european countries

  9. Asia, but some consider it European.

  10. Asia even though it's people are considered ethnically European.

    Kinda complicated over there!
