  1. most satellites face southwest

  2. Depends on which SAT you are looking for?

Do you have an install guide?

  3. Upward

  4. Texas

  5. dosnt matter just tilt it upward a llittle bit to get a good signal...

  6. Satellites are parked in orbits over the equator.  So, in general, from the northern hemisphere (US, Canada, UK, etc), you need to have a clear view of the southern sky.  From the southern hemisphere (Australia, South America, etc) you need to look to the north.  Obviously, anyone on or near the equator would be generally looking "up".

Beyond that, the exact pointing direction or "look angle" will depend on where you are on the face of the earth and which satellite you want to access.

Try this link and select the satellite you want.  The little map at the bottom will assist with look angles.
