In what earliest round does a winbledon tennis player get a prize money?

The first round. I'm not sure if they get paid for qualifying but I don't think so.

So yeah, even if a player loses in the first round they still get prize money. Granted, it isn't much (nowhere near the £700 000 that the singles' winners get each) but they still get paid.

Philip, to loose first round of qualifying... A loss there pays $1,625. d**n when we played it was nothing til 2nd round of main draw and it sure wasn't $17,000 like today. Progress is good.
