  1. I hope DVD is the method of writing only...

its the compression format of writing.

W.R.O songs... it actually depends on the writing format that is the source file type is not changed.

ex: if its mp3.. u burn it on dvd still its mp3. songs only.

    hope i cleared u .

  2. DVD and CD are storage media formats just like computer hard-drive, USB drive, SD Card, etc., etc.. They have no direct correlation to sound quality.

Sound quality depends on the original source, of course, such as your music CD. Once the music is converted to digital formats, i.e. MP3, AAC, the sample rate typically determines the sound quality. The higher kbps (kilo-bit-per-second) means higher quality. Spoken words at 32 kbps, stereos at 96 kbps, and up from there to 160 kbps, 192 kbps, etc. etc. Higher kbps means larger MP3 files at 4, 6, 8MB per songs.

If you have everything at 192 kbps, the files get huge, and yes, you need a DVD instead of a CD to store. That is the only correlation. The other problem with huge file is they take too much space on your MP3 player.

I suggest you experiment to find a reasonable sound quality versus the size of you files. and storage on your players. Typically, 128 to 160 kbps is more than good enough.
