  1. Same like in US from Mid Dec.-Mid March. But it is always different, in Germany sometimes the winter starts already in October, it's get so cold and March/April it's still winter.

  2. It depends on where you live in Germany.  For me, winter officially starts in the middle of December and ends the last day of January, but the weather can be extremely fickle.    It seems winter has been gradually disappearing over the years.  This year, winter has been quite a joke.  Winters are also not as cold and icy as in the US.

  3. All of them!

    hehehe

No, it can be cold from Sept thru May, but generally it's Nov thru April.

  4. Same as in the U.S. - December-March

  5. Just like the rest of the world, winter starts on 21 December (winter solstice) and Spring starts on the 20 March (vernal equinox)...so winter is from the 21/12 to the 19/03. Well, not exactly the rest of the world Australia winter starts on the 20 June and ends on the 21 of September. Meteorogical winter starts on the 1 December.

  6. Dezember durch März, sowie in andern Ländern

  7. Same as in the USA.

I live in Vermont and find the weather to be near identical to the Northern USA most!

  8. Overall, the 2004-05 winter season (December through February) averaged normal temperatures, however it was a split season with February and early March being very cold with abundant snowfall and December and January registering above normal temperatures and little snowfall.  Specifically, the eastern countries dealt with very cold temperatures during the first ten days of February, while western Europe experienced its first major cold outbreak at month’s end. In addition, at the beginning of March, a strong cold front swept over the entire continent, sending temperatures plummeting all across Europe. During the month of February, and into March, snow cover reached its maximum extent.  At the beginning of February, snow accumulations of two feet were recorded at several reporting stations near the Romanian-Bulgarian border, the large grain-producing region along the Danube River.
