  2. Leo is one of the constellations along the ecliptic (the path the sun appears to make in our sky).  The constellation Cancer is to the west, and Virgo is to the east.

    Right now, to northern observers, Leo is very low on the horizon (most of it doesn't rise above the horizon).

    You can find Leo by following the back 2 stars of the Big Dipper's bowl in the opposite direction from the North Star.  About twice as far as the North Star is from the Big Dipper you will come to bright Regulus, which is the star in Leo's "sickle".

    Leo is best seen in April in the northern hemisphere.

  3. Tonight...look west at sunset, Leo will set fast and be obscured by most of the twilight.   In a few weeks look  east at sunrise.  This time of the year, Leo is almost directly "behind" the sun from earth, so, you will not see this constellation for about a month, when it will emerge in the early morning sky before sunrise as the earth continues it orbit around the sun.
