I would say the mechanic that travels earns the most. I would think the AMA guys get paid a bit more than The guys at joe's garage.

Hmm, I don't think it could matter.  It's up to the mechanic to chose how much to charge.  But if I had to pick a state, I would say Manic :)

Probably a state where the wheather is nice all year round for riding. I live in New York, and I know that in the winter the mechanics don't really have much to do besides plow the dealership parking lot.
