In what states do sunflowers grow wild?

I know they grow in my state, Texas. They can grow in many different states, just depending on the most of the time weather conditions and how the ground is.

They grow in Alaksa a too. Almost anywhere where they can. Maybe in the deserts it would be hard to grow them, but even Arizona has more temperate zones I think.

We had them all over our backyard wild growign up in Maryland.
