I've always wanted a pet red fox...does anyone know what states it is legal to own a red fox as a pet in? Thanks!

  1. most states have exotic animal permits. If the animal is a native to the area it makes it better. check with the local animal rescue in your area and get a referral from them to care for an injured animal. squirrel,fox,bird what ever. with that in your resume you will easily be able to qualify for an exotic animal permit


  2. Well, it is legal to own bears and tigers in North Carolina (Pender County specifically,) so I am sure a red fox isn't the most exotic house pet in the US.  Try calling your animal shelter.
